Dr Ogunnubi holds an M.B;Ch.B degree in Medicine & Surgery from the famous OLABISI ONABANJO UNIVERSITY (formerly Ogun State University) Ago-Iwoye. He then proceeded to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba, Lagos State for his postgraduate medical course in Psychiatry. He became a Fellow of West African College of Physicians (FWACP) in 2015, marking his 17th year of medical journey. He also bagged a master’s degree in Public Health at the prestigious University of Central Nicaragua (UCN) in 2015 and in 2019, completed a certificate course in Leadership and Management in Health from the world renowned University of Washington (USA).
Dr Ogunnubi is both an academician and a researcher as he currently lectures at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Lagos. He has scores of scientific publications to his credit. He was the Ex- Publicity Secretary and the Deputy Secretary of the Lagos State Branch of NIGERIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION (NMA) – the largest professional association of medical doctors in Africa. He is also the immediate past Publicity Officer for the Association of Psychiatrists in Nigeria (APN) and currently, the South-West Liaison Officer for the association. He is also a member of professional bodies such as: The World Psychiatric Association (WPA); International AIDS Society, International Society for Bipolar Disorders (ISBD) and International Employee Assistance Professional Association (USA) to mention but a few. He is a World Health Organization (WHO) certified Mental Health Advocate. A regular guest, discussant and opinion shaper on social and mass media platforms in Nigeria (both prints and electronics). He has presented in many international fora, such as in, United Kingdom, Germany and Mexico.
Dr. Peter is a medical entrepreneur (CEO of GRACE COTTAGE CLINICS LTD) – a private mental health facility located within Ilupeju – Lagos. He is deeply committed to humanitarian works through the charity organizations – The Real Visionaries Initiative, which he founded in 2011. The Real Visionaries as it’s popularly known has in the last one year been responsible for the supply of free medication and consultation services to indigent Nigerians suffering from mental illness.
